About your apprentice

Attendance and Punctuality

• We provide an automated text service which will send you a text message if your apprentice is absent from training or late either am or pm on their designated training day.
• Please note - we are audited by our government funding body. It is vital that salons free up their apprentices to attend on their designated Collinge & Co Training day. If apprentices do not fulfill their planned off-the-job hours, all the funding we are provided for the relevant apprentice will be taken back. We invest substantially in skilled tutors, training products /resources and high quality environments, therefore we rely on you, our partner employers, to ensure your apprentice attends regularly and fulfills their off-the-job requirement.

Progress in your workplace and in the training centre

• We will visit your salon to discuss your apprentice and their progress with you at least every twelve weeks.
• We will help you to set up an account so you can access your apprentices Personal Development Plan, (via Notion) this will provide you with detailed information on your apprentices starting point and their longer term ambitions. You can access their Personal Development Plan at any time to look at tutor progress reviews; how they are being supported; English and math development, new targets and your apprentices own feedback.
• For employers who want to look at their apprentices e-portfolio (via OneFile) we would encourage you to do this by asking your apprentice to log-in and then explore it together. The e-portfolio will provide information on their target progress; gap analysis; assessment plan and achievements.
• Our new Hair Professional Apprentice Route Map is also available providing you with an overview of the programme, its delivery content and sequence. This can be used by employers to align their workplace training with the training being provided within Collinge and Co Training, or use it to monitor where their apprentice is up to, checking that they are progressing as per the training plan.
